ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the role of Unit Manager successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the key functions.

Care and Services:

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise required to effectively supervise all nursing activities in the facility or the units to which assigned.

  • Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems relative to the unit(s).

  • Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality Resident care.

  • Assesses and evaluates the performance and competency of staff on unit(s).

  • Uses a systematic approach to provide individualized nursing care.

  • Performs nursing assessments regarding the health status of the Resident.

  • Contributes to the Resident's assessment (MDS/RAPs) and the development of a plan of care.

  • Makes nursing diagnoses which serve as the basis for the strategy of care.

  • Develops a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.

  • Evaluates the Resident's responses to nursing interventions.

  • Selects and institutes appropriate nursing intervention which might be required to stabilize a Resident's condition and/or prevent complications.

  • Consults with physician or licensed independent practitioner.

  • Clarifies any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, non-effective or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed practitioner and notifying the ordering practitioner when making the decision not to administer medication or treatment.

  • Knows the rational for the effect of medications and treatments and correctly administer same.

  • Accurately reports and documents the Resident's symptoms, responses and status.

  • Designs, promotes and organizes Resident education and counseling based on health needs.

  • Collaborates with the Resident, members of the healthcare team and, when appropriate, the Resident's significant other(s) in the interest of the Resident's healthcare.

  • Consults with, utilizes and initiates referrals to appropriate community agencies and healthcare resources to provide continuity of care.

  • Accepts only those nursing assignments that are commensurate with one's own educational preparation, experience, knowledge and ability and obtains instruction and supervision as necessary when implementing nursing procedures or practices.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

  • Valid registration as an LVN/LPN/RN in the state of Practice

  • Completion of relevant state Board of Nursing approved.

All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply, including individuals with disabilities and Protected Veterans.</p><p>Pay Rate: $67,300.00 - $70,000.00 Per Year</p><p>This position is responsible for providing direction and leadership to the Shift Team Members to meet facility goals in the 5 focus areas of Operational Excellence including Safety, Quality, People, Service and Cost. This includes: monitoring daily safety practices, securing site assets, allocating manpower to ensure service, and cost objectives are met. This role is also accountable for fostering a team environment through effective and appropriate communication, and providing direct management of warehouse employees and team leaders. This individual plans the daily work schedule by coordinating with outside vendors and internal departments.</p><p>Major Tasks Include:</p><ul><li><p>Plans the daily work schedule</p></li><li><p>Coordinates shipments/deliveries to meet shipping and on-time delivery goals</p></li><li><p>Monitors daily productivity and safe working practices</p></li><li><p>Helps manage the workload and work distribution to meet goals</p></li><li><p>Coordinates and plans employee training, development, performance management and corrective action</p></li><li><p>Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with workforce to enhance BMS (Business Management System) and Operational Excellence to meet facility goals and communications</p></li><li><p>Participates in Continuous Improvement Projects and Six Sigma training</p></li></ul><p>Basic Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Must be at least 18 years of age</p></li><li><p>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future</p></li><li><p>Must have a High school diploma or comparable certificate (e.g. GED)</p></li><li><p>Must have at least one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment, or completion of the GSC Accelerated Development program</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Must have experience using MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Power Point)</p></li><li><p>Have 2 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution, manufacturing or related environment</p></li><li><p>Trained in Hi-Lift, Sit-Down and Reach-Truck warehouse functions</p></li><li><p>Previous leadership experience in a warehouse/distribution or manufacturing environment</p></li><li><p>An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, working towards a degree, or willingness to pursue a degree</p></li><li><p>Formal training and/or experience with continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience with timekeeping and/or production control systems</p></li></ul><p>Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
