Full-Time Day Shift




The Unit Manager is responsible for the supervision of Nursing Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Nursing Assistants and all other employees in the absence of the Director of Nursing, Administrator or Department Head in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Education and Experience

  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing

  • Graduate of an accredited RN or BSN nursing program

  • Must have, as a minimum, 1 year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.

  • Must have, as a minimum, 12 months training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Transports patients and completes errands. Responsibilities: * Maintains and cleans equipment as requested by Registered Nurse. * Performs other transportation functions as required including but not limited to delivery of patient specimens, medical records and patient care equipment. * Collaborates with members of health care team to promote the delivery of patient care and overall functioning of unit. * Maintains, cleans and adjusts department's equipment including wheelchairs as needed. Keeps patient areas neat and uncluttered. * Other duties as assigned. Education: * High School Diploma or GED. Certifications: * None required. Complexity of Work: * Requires critical thinking, customer service, teamwork, multi-tasking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. * Must be able to work in a stressful environment. * Demonstrates a positive, concerned and sensitive response in the work place. * Interacts with patient, visitors and all personnel in a courteous, helpful manner; and constructively resolves conflict. * Maintains confidentiality regarding patients, families and co-workers. * Demonstrates respect for individual cultural and social differences. Work Experience: * Health care experience preferred. Physical Requirements: * Requires full range of body motion including handling and frequent patient lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. * Requires frequent standing, walking, bending/stooping, kneeling, reaching and squatting. * Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. * Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
