Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The incumbent is a caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. Responsibility is for a designated time frame. The incumbent will help provide safe, therapeutic care for our patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, Physicians Assistant, Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician. Other health care team members will be utilized with the multidisciplinary processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Unit Coordinator II/Tech, 6 months Monitor Tech or equivalent experience in an acute care facility (may waive based on operational needs of department)

  • Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia

  • Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of college preferred

  • Over two years experience as a Unit Coordinator II/Tech, Monitor Tech, or equivalent level experience in an acute care facility preferred

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Biological Science Technicians (Wildlife) assist in monitoring wildlife and improving habitats on public lands. Duties may include but are not limited to: * Research, compile and tabulate wildlife inventory data. * Conduct field surveys on for federally listed and sensitive wildlife species. * Conduct site monitoring. * Conduct habitat and vegetation monitoring. * Collect data pertaining to water rights. * Complete inventories for specific species in potential habitat areas, document locations using maps and GIS/GPS technology. * Process samples and enter data into databases. * Interpret aerial photos, land-sat imagery and topographic maps to determine land use and vegetation distribution and to plot nest/herd breeding sites. * Higher grade positions my lead lower level grades, plan projects related to wildlife habitat improvement, and create analytical reports on environmental impacts to wildlife. Work is performed outdoors in rugged terrain; to include steep, wet, muddy, rough, uneven or rocky surfaces. Position requires physical exertions, such as, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and similar activities. Individuals should be capable of working alone, or with other people, during early morning hours, night, or during the day. GS-06: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-5 level. Compiling occurrence and distribution data, cover maps, and herbarium study mounts. Assisting in performing wildlife studies and in constructing wildlife habitat improvement structures. Compiling data obtained through survey/study and assembling the data into a logical sequence for review. OR Successful completion of one full year of graduate education directly related to the work of the position. OR A combination of experience and education to meet total experience. GS-07: One year of specialized work experience equivalent to GS-6 level. Examples of specialized experience may include researching, compiling and tabulating a full range of wildlife inventory data. Leading or conducting field inventories of wildlife species to develop intensive scientific information. Collecting ecological site information for sensitive, threatened or endangered wildlife.
