The Long Term Acute Care (LTCH) Division of Sonoma Specialty Hospital is designed to provide care of medically complex patients who have experienced catastrophic illness and/or multi-system failure and are in need of intense rehabilitation services and an extended stay in an acute care setting. These patients usually come directly from a Short Term Acute Care Hospital (STCH) and are in need of vent weaning and acute rehabilitation services for a longer period of time to recover and return to their optimal level of health. The average length of stay (ALOS) of these patients is a range of 25-35 days which is a longer than average stay at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Care for these types of patients is provided by RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Wound Care Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists. Also a collaborative team of specialty physicians, psychologists, dieticians, and social workers will focus on an individualized goal for each patient to recover and reach their independence and optimum level of health.is a missing piece in the continuum of care within the health care system.

FULL-TIME DAY POSITION

Job Summary:

The Unit Clerk is responsible for maintaining medical records, assisting with patient care needs, and performing clerical and CQI duties.

Education, Training and Licenses Required:

  • Telemetry Technician certification required
  • BLS required within 6 months of hire date
  • EMT, CNA, and/or MA license or certification preferred.

Experience Required:

  • One year experience as unit clerk in acute setting preferred.

  • Computer knowledge required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • High school graduate or GED required.

  • Medical terminology preferred.

  • Health Information Management awareness preferred.

Equipment Knowledge Required:

  • Use of multi-line phone system

  • Use of computer, knowledge of Microsoft office suite preferred.

  • Competency with the electronic documentation system must be obtained within 30 days of hire with full proficiency by 90 days of hire.

Job Summary The accounts payable clerk has the responsibility to enter non-purchase order invoices into the accounts payable system. Performs all accounts payable functions including coding, researching, processing invoices for payment, and printing checks. All assignments performed should be in compliance with policies and sound accounting procedures. The accounts payable clerk is also responsible for supporting general accounting and financial reporting for the Finance department. Areas of support within the department include general accounting, schedule preparations (assisting with preparation of monthly financial statements and reports), accounts payable analysis, and cash flow analysis and support. Interfacing with or responding to questions from various internal departments regarding accounts payable, and will be receiving and returning vendor calls. Qualifications * Minimum of one-year accounts payable experience is preferred * Data entry experience is preferred * Strong customer service orientation * Excellent interpersonal skills * Good communication skills * Detail oriented with excellent organization skills * Independent work attitude and self-motivated. * Strong knowledge of business applications and third party payer regulations and requirements * Skilled in multi-tasking and prioritizing Education, Training and Licenses Required * High school diploma * Completion of college level accounting is preferred American Advanced Management, Inc Sebastopol CA
