Statement of Purpose Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or delegate, assists by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintains the physical environment of the nursing station. Performs clerical functions for nursing staff and MDs Assists in orientation of new staff Answers telephones and nurse call system and communicates in a timely fashion Promotes professional environment at work station Greets families and visitors Collects and prepares medical records for transfers and discharges Coordinates and communicates diagnostic testing schedules with nursing staff and MDs Job Requirements High school diploma. Medical terminology required. Able to communicate clearly. Able to work with physician and hospital staff in a professional and courteous manner. Working knowledge of computer programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel. BLS preferred.
