Halifax Health is seeking a Unit Clerk.

Summary

The Unit Clerk will perform clerical and receptionist duties on the assigned unit. This individual must be able to learn the computerized hospital information system, have legible handwriting, good phone etiquette, and the ability to remain calm and efficient in a high traffic area.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

  • 1-2 years of clerical/secretarial experience preferred

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

  • Previous Unit Clerk experience with data entry preferred

Qualifications What You Will Need: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree * Active Florida RN license required * Must maintain current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association * Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a 'like' position to qualify for the incentive * Full Time employment contract required. * Rehires within 12 months are not eligible for sign on bonus incentives Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities. The Nurse is responsible for supervising and responsibly directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their patient care delivery. Primary function is the delivery of competent, compassionate, and cost effective nursing care.
