Jerome Home is a 120 bed Long Term Care Facility in New Britain, CT. Established under the will executed by Augustus Jerome, Jerome Home is a privately-owned, not-for-profit organization. We are a progressive, nursing community with a highly competent and caring staff. Established in 1932, our multi levels include, RCH and SNF including short-term rehab and hospice. Also on our campus is Arbor Rose, a 62 apartment Assisted Living Facility.

We are currently interviewing for Full and Part-time Unit Attendant to work part time on our Long Term Care neighborhoods. The hours would be are flexible for days and evenings, including weekends. The unit attendant will perform non-clinical tasks related to resident care. We are also looking to sponsor a CNA course here at Jerome Home in summer of 2023. As a Unit Attendant, you would be given preference in taking the course, if you are interested.

We have several online programs currently being used by our staff:

  • Matrix is used as our EMR.

  • Shifthound is our on-line scheduling program. At the click of a button, you can request time off or request to pick up a shift. You can also send email/text notification to request coverage of an open shift.

  • Relias is our on-line education program. Classes are assigned via email for you to complete in the allotted time at your own pace.

  • Paylocity is our online payroll system. We are all direct deposit and you are able to view your check right online. In addition, we communicate to staff through this system.

The successful candidate will:

  • Greet and escort residents to their room.

  • Introduce residents to his/her roommate, if any, and other residents and personnel as appropriate.

  • Make resident comfortable (i.e. get water, etc.). Inventory and mark the resident's personal possessions as instructed.

  • Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with resident centered care, and as instructed by your supervisors.

  • Answer call bells and any alarms promptly. Provide help for non-clinical requests

  • Assist in transporting residents to/from appointments, activity and social programs, etc., as necessary.

  • Prepare for new admissions (prepare room, supplies, etc…)

  • Prepare residents for meals (i.e., wash hands, comb hair, raise bed, position tables, place clothing protectors, take to/from dining room, etc.).

  • Other duties as assigned by your Charge Nurse
