The Uniform Attendant ensures that all Spanish Bay employees receive their uniform on a daily basis and provide guests with exceptional dry cleaning service. Must have exceptional attention to detail, be self-motivated, and be able to communicate clearly to employees, managers, and guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Appropriately meet, greet, and assist Pebble Beach Company staff, vendors, guests and visitors.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all uniforms and garments issued by and returned to Uniform Issue.

  • Set par amounts of uniforms and food and beverage linens. Ensure the proper distribution of linens, uniforms and related accessories.

  • Ensure that laundering and cleaning performed by outside vendors meets the highest standards of quality.

  • Coordinate and assist in the prompt and accurate handling of all guest requests.

  • Monitor the condition of garments and linens. Recommend changes as needed.

  • Issue, recover, alter and fit employee uniforms.

  • Monitor costs, implement efforts to control costs and prepare required reports on costs, expenses and charges related to uniforms, linen, laundry and discard.

  • Perform simple maintenance on equipment and monitor use of supplies in linen room and related areas.

  • Coordinate all inventories and quality control of uniforms, guest laundry, pressing and alterations.

  • Perform pressing and alteration of guests' laundry, linens and uniforms.

  • Participate in inventories and other scheduled projects.

  • Coordinate services of outside vendors and maintain working relationship with vendors.

  • Perform recycling duties of Uniform Issue according to policy.

  • Perform daily washing duties.

  • Strive to work through challenges by properly communicating with appropriate individuals to reach a mutual agreement and teamwork.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers.

  • Cross train and fill in other job roles when scheduled such as, Room Attendant, House Attendant, Office Coordinator, and Glasses/Traps Attendant.

  • Comply with all safety and health policies and procedures.

  • Knows, model, and integrate Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values, and standards).

  • Attend to department meetings and daily huddles.

  • Any reasonable request by management outside the scope of the Houseman Attendant job as needed

Absolutely Required Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Must have a strong work ethic, professionalism, teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Have knowledge of proper cleaning and chemical use.

Desired Skills:

  • Preferred hotel experience but not required.
