What you'll be doing...
As our Unified Communications Senior Project Manager (PM), you will manage US Government Agency Cisco Unified Communications implementation. You will lead a team of project managers, engineers, and partners to implement and provide an integrated, enterprise-wide voice, video, and call routing solutions in addition to wireless network access at Agency offices for both federal and contractor employees. You will support complete effort to provide enterprise solutions and consolidate existing systems and solutions for agency's telephony voice services using VoIP technology, video teleconferencing, wireless network internet access, enterprise contact center call routing, and active directory. You will ensure that detailed plans are developed, communicated, and then tracked as work is executed. You will interact with the customer to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met and all work efforts are coordinated. Oversee project to the satisfaction of the customer Statement of Work, on schedule and within budget. You will also manage all risks and issues that are identified throughout the life-cycle of the project. Program Manager provides the project initiation, scope, requirements and scheduling for new implementations in advance of turnover to the service management team.
Understanding of the project life cycle.
Identifies project stakeholders, project requirements, and overall timelines.
Manages and coordinates with project team to define scope, schedule, budget and risks.
Documents the communication plan, change management plan and escalation plan.
Defines team member roles and responsibilities, monitors team performance and ensures project resources receive the training required to perform their duties.
Reviews and manages all changes requests according to the defined change management processes.
Leads project meetings, status calls, coordinates project activities and manages stakeholder expectations.
Provides regular project status updates including project progress toward achieving the objectives defined in the business case.
Ensures the project management status is updated in a timely manner.
Provides sign-off for phase and project completion; documents project outcome and lessons learned.
Establishes and manages relationship with customer.
Uses good judgment to escalate issues to leadership.
Effectively uses a variety of technology tools to create and deliver materials (i.e. WebEx, video conferencing, online training, etc.).
Uses essential project management skills such as resourcing, financial management, requirements identification and tracking to milestones.
Works within direction set independently.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Project management experience.
Certifications: PMP, CCNA.
Experience supporting Federal Government Agency projects.
Unified Communications implementation experience experience in Cisco Unified Communications to include IP Telephony and network infrastructure services.
Knowledge & experience of Cisco CUCM and VOIP application deployment.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Eight or more years of project management experience.
Project management experience with most recent years focused on large network Unified Communications and infrastructure implementation projects.
In-depth understanding of project management processes and principles, including experience in deliverables associated with these practices.
Delivery and transformation experience in: UCC, IPT, VoIP, IM&P, collaboration tools, audio/video/web conferencing, voice gateways, IP, routing and switching.
Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager platform, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Telepresence and Cisco Collaboration tool migrations of over 3000 users.
Experience with collaboration solution test plans and checklists.
Knowledge of PMI Project Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM Framework and ITIL Framework.
Experience leading and managing in a diverse environment.
