Job Description:

Baptist Health Unified Communication Senior Engineer's work in a team environment to provide strategy, design, planning, implementation and day to day administration of the corporate Unified Communication's environment which is comprised of Cisco Unified Communications Manager(Call Manager), Cisco Unified Communications Manager Session Manager Edition (SME), Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Communications Manager IM & Presence, Cisco Unified Attendant Console (CUAC), Cisco Unified Contact Center (UCCX), Cisco Spark, Cisco WebEx, Cisco Prime, Cisco Telepresence and VCS, Cisco Meeting Server, Avaya's Aura Communication Manager(AAC), Avaya Aura Contact Center (AACC), Avaya Aura Messaging and Nortel Call Pilot, Avaya Aura Session Manager, Avaya Aura System Manager, Nortel Communications Server (CS1000), Vidyo's Video Conferencing Platform, Open Text's Right Fax Enterprise Fax solution, ASCOM's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems. This individual also analyzes system client needs, provides cost effective business solutions, various levels of escalation support to ensure the integrity of the Baptist Health Unified Communications Voice, Video and its associated network connections to provide efficient and effective service with minimal downtime.

EDUCATION:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience preferred

  • CCNP Voice (Cisco Certified Network Professional Voice) or equivalent work experience

  • CCNP Collaboration ( Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration) preferred

  • Vidyo Certified Engineer (VCE) preferred

EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications):

  • 5 plus years of Voice and Unified Communications Cisco Preferred experience including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unified Communications Manager Session Manager Edition (SME), Cisco Unity Connection (CUCN).

  • 5 plus years of experience in telecommunications (Specifically Cisco products).

  • 2-3 years of project management experience required that includes managing vendors and medium to large teams to accomplish the initiative.

  • 3-5 years of experience using Cisco IOS \ XE command line interface.

  • 2-3 years of IP video conferencing experience.

  • 3-5 years of Fax over IP experience

  • In-depth working knowledge of Network and IP services.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead teams.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and methodology to determine root cause with hardware, operating systems, application programs, network failure or security.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

This engineer supports the Manufacturing Engineering team directly for activities related to equipment troubleshooting, equipment specification, installation support and Total Productive Maintenance. Develops and implement strategies / projects to improve reliability and cost controls for facility infrastructure. What you will Do Provide daily technical/troubleshooting support including PLC Support/Pneumatics/Hydraulics/Electrical Controls Schematic for AP5 Production Equipment/Plant Facility Systems Own information sharing & prioritization across assigned areas and shifts to ensure that adjacent members of the equipment escalation team are provided with correct and timely information. Communicate equipment status with the Production Team. #LI-CC1 Lead and direct skilled trades Maintenance and Tool & Die personnel on equipment repairs. Foster a positive relationship with the Maintenance team - coach, resource and promote a culture of accountability. Identify repetitive problems, troubleshoot equipment and develop and implement solutions. Collect, analyze and present weekly summaries of key drivers of down-time, including actions taken to resolve. Lead and own the development/standardization of control software including backup processes and hardware for plant equipment and processes. Responsible for identifying and prioritizing major (chronic) maintenance issues with production and to initiate and develop action plans to resolve issues. Utilize the Plant Work Order system for documenting material and labor in equipment repairs (Oracle eAM) Conduct investigations of critical failures and report findings. Work with the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) efforts to ensure specifications are technically complete and support overall equipment strategies. Support as required: Equipment design and specification development Logic / programming specification Planning for integration into operations. Support the installation, debug and programming of equipment. Support and approve activities leading to run-off / acceptance into operations. What you need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: * 5 years of Controls & PLC Troubleshooting & Programming experience (ideally GE, Allen-Bradley) * 5 years' support ops or maintenance supervision experience * Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline * Demonstrate strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes with demonstrated technical ability. * Experience in training others in root cause based troubleshooting, schematic reading, PLC's and ladder logic programming, PID loop control, variable frequency drives, Ethernet communications, HMI Software (Cimplicity, WonderWare, Citect), Vision Systems and safety procedures such as Lock Out -Tag Out. * Strong leadership skills including interpersonal, facilitation, communication and team building skills * Solid Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft suite, software/programming and PLC) * Robotics Programming & Troubleshooting * Expertise in Electrical Safety Circuits * Previous Supervisory Experience and/or experience working directly with Production Operations and Operators * Self-motivated - ability to balance multiple priorities and effectively determine level of responsiveness and resource allocation Working Conditions: Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.
