What you will do
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Underwriting Support Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all tasks related to renewal preparation for all account sizes in our countrywide new and renewal business. This position will also involve working closely with underwriters and agents to support profitable new business and retention efforts, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with Profit Centers and agencies.
Essential Functions:
The associate is trained to handle all tasks associated with renewal preparation for all account sizes pertaining to countrywide new and renewal business.
Analyze and completes preparatory underwriting tasks in support of New and Renewal Underwriting.
Serve as a point of contact for underwriters and agents in support of writing profitable new business and retaining renewals.
Work in support of strengthening and maintaining Profit Center and agency relationships.
Develop and maintain a strong customer service focus/commitment.
Frequent interaction with Profit Center Underwriting, supervisory staff, HO and agents in support of efficient and effective work processes.
Communicate with agents, Profit Centers, and other company personnel relating to rate, coverage and policy information.
Update and maintain manuals, special notices, and profit center and program exceptions as required.
May serve as a trainer to other Underwriting support staff members.
What you will need
Education: 1-2 years of office related experience preferred. Minimum high school required.
Experience: Demonstrate proficiency in various computer applications. Completion or willingness to complete insurance education (IIA/CPCU). Effective interpersonal skills are required.
Salary: $35,500-$44,381
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee's work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.

This position is a full time hourly, non- exempt (overtime eligible) position
