UNDERWRITING MANAGER - HUMBOLDT MERCHANT SERVICES - TEMPE, ARIZONA
Humboldt Merchant Services, a subsidiary of North American Bancard, is looking for a leader to manage our new underwriting team in Tempe.
Do you have experience managing or supervising an underwriting team in the Card Payments space or would you like the opportunity to work in the credit card payment processing industry? In this role, you will lead a team responsible for analyzing high risk merchant applicants.

Here's What You'll Be Doing:
Supervise and train a team of underwriters
Provide support to the underwriting team and handle escalated underwriting issues. Backup underwriting as needed.
Lead team meetings.
Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports.
Ensure VIP and high volume file submissions receive appropriate and timely review
Monitor approvals and ensure they are in line with HMS Underwriting Signing Authority Matrix.
In collaboration with upper management, conduct periodic assessments of policies and procedures.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects in support of department as assigned.
Here's What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree or minimum of five years industry experience or minimum of five years supervisory experience.
Experience managing a team
Commercial underwriting experience
Experience in the Merchant Services Payment Processing Industry is a plus.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with deadlines.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to fit the needs of the department.
