Zurich North America is looking for an Underwriting Authority Administrator based in our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. The Underwriting Authority Administrator supportsoverall Underwriter Empowerment through the management of the underwriterletter of authority governance framework.
Actively managing current underwriter letters ofauthority (LOA), including issuance, revocation and suspension.
Leading triennial reviews with technical andmarket facing teams to ensure that authority levels and grants are current andappropriate for business needs and underwriter skills.
Responding to inquiries and requests from market facing underwriters& managers, business leaders and technical teams relating toauthority grants, clarifications, or status.
Ensuring authority values and tables areproperly maintained and updated within the Global Underwriting QualityWorkstation (GUQA), the go-forward platform for LOAs.
Partnering with Business Continuity & IT toidentify implement system enhancements for the GUQA platform.
Decommissioning the legacy authority managementdatabase upon completion of the system transition.
Partnering with the line of business technicalteams and the UW Governance Director to understand and respond to authorityrequirements arising from new or revised underwriting guidelines, both localand global.
Providing clear and consumable reportingto managers, business leaders and technical teams to allow for analyticalreview and decisions relating to the current empowerment landscape.
Ensuring the authority management process issupported with effective governance controls.
Identifying and implementing processimprovements to support continued efficiency and effectiveness in theunderwriter letter of authority governance framework.
