Wright Public Entity serves as a management company providing claims administration, risk management & loss control, underwriting & marketing, and client services in New York for the NY Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR: 'A-' rated by Best), NY Municipal Insurance Reciprocal (NYMIR: 'A-' rated by Best) and Statewide Schools Health Plan. We also act as a TPA for Workers Compensation for various self-insured schools & municipalities in New York.
Responsibilities:
Underwriting authority up to policy limits.
Ensure submissions reflect renewal business guidelines.
Review and follow up for loss control recommendations.
Responsible for file maintenance and completeness.
Maintain quality control along with customer service representative of policy issuance.
Secure "Special Acceptance" when necessary from our reinsurance partners.
Participate on policy and claims committee meetings.
Special projects as needed.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), comfortable with rating system and web based applications.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
