Underground Pipefitter (Hdpe) - Primoris Industrial & Civil

Currently, they are seeking skilled Underground Pipefitters for a project in Hastings, Nebraska. Here are the details:

Project Duration: The project is expected to last until the end of the year.

Work Schedule: Pipefitters will work five days a week, with 10-hour shifts daily (Monday to Friday), may work more hours, if needed.

Qualifications: Candidates must successfully pass a craft test to be considered for this position. A drug screen, physical, and a background check clearance is also required.

Specialization: The role requires specialized knowledge in HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) piping systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine HDPE pipe layouts and configurations.

• Measure, cut, and fuse HDPE pipes to required specifications using fusion techniques such as butt fusion, electrofusion, or socket fusion.

• Assemble and install HDPE piping systems including fittings, valves, and other components.

• Perform pressure testing and other quality control checks on HDPE piping systems to ensure proper installation and functionality.

• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with HDPE piping systems, making necessary repairs and adjustments.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure HDPE pipe installations are completed on time and according to specifications.

• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

• *Must be able to Pass Drug Screen, Physical & Background Check

• Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter, working with/around underground utilities, or similar role with a focus on HDPE piping systems.

• Extensive experience working with HDPE pipes, fittings, and fusion techniques.

• Strong technical skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.

• Commitment to safety and following established procedures and guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Must comply with company's drug and alcohol abuse policy.

• Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.

• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.

• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).

• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.

• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

• Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
