JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Production Engineering Department of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking undergraduate students to assist with software development.

The Successful Candidates Will:

  • Assist with computer programming.

  • Have experience with Java and/or Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Git, and Eclipse IDE.

  • Have web application development experience, including familiarity with the following frameworks: Angular, D3, Spring, Ruby on Rails, and JQuery is strongly desired but not required.

  • Have experience with Linux, Eclipse RCP application plugin/application development, and databases is also desired.

Students studying Computer Science are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidates will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer.

Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Bellisario College of Communications is looking for an undergraduate communication assistant to work 5-10 hours per week. Responsibilities will include creating social media strategies, writing feature and research articles, and assisting in event planning and project management.
