Purpose of Position
The University of North Dakota Hockey team is seeking highly motivated individuals who have a passion for hockey to assist the Head Equipment Manager.
This is a part-time, non-benefitted position. This position aims to have an end of August start date, and employment will carry on through the Fall & Spring term.
UND students who are seeking institutional and/or work-study jobs are encouraged to apply for this position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Equipment Manager in daily/weekly tasks which include but not limited to:
Assist with game-day equipment operations at home games
Assist with practices & practice set-up/breakdown for all home practices
Assist with outfitting student athletes in proper gear
Assist with coordinating visiting team needs & arrival plans
Organize player locker room, player's lounge, coach's locker room when needed
Retrieve any needed equipment items for players/staff while understanding inventory needs
Inventorying new equipment
Assist with team laundry services daily (including visiting teams when needed)
Restocking of locker room area items daily
Ensure proper storage of all equipment items
Other duties assigned by the Head Equipment Manager

Minimum Requirements
Must be able to work a combination of the following hours:
Weekday evenings (evening hours are flexible during the week)
All home game weekends (Day & Night availability) which may include some holiday breaks that there are home games scheduled (negotiable upon hire)
3-4 days a week including home game weekends
Must be self motivated and detailed
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
Ability to lift 25+ pounds
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications
No hockey experience required, but is preferred
Previous work with a pro and/or NCAA hockey team
