The UnityPoint Health (UPH) Analytics team is responsible for enabling clinical, operational, and financial outcomes improvement through consultative partnerships and the use of data and analytics. The team
members are leaders in transforming UPH into a data-informed, continuous-improvement organization with highly reliable and sustainable results.
The Analytics Advisor is a versatile leader within the Analytics structure that requires a breadth of expertise in healthcare business and/or clinical acumen, analytics interpretation, portfolio management, and executive advisement. As a part of the Analytics team, the Analytics Advisor is dedicated to one of the clinical, financial, or operational analytics portfolios and serves as the initial contact to discuss and scope new analytics requests. Advisors will facilitate an Analytics Collaboration Team to prioritize requests within each portfolio in partnership with a business leader. They are organizationally savvy, able to navigate overlapping or conflicting priorities across stakeholders. With broad awareness of existing analytics tools and expertise in consultation, the Advisor will translate business needs into analytical solutions and bridge the technical expertise of analytics development teams with the operational expertise of clinical and business leaders to oversee analytics ideation through solution deployment. Post-deployment the Advisor will be dedicated to overcoming adoption barriers through education, monitoring the use of analytics deliverables, proactively pushing relevant analytics artifacts to decision-makers, and mitigating areas of underutilization. The Advisor will play a key role in realizing analytics value at UnityPoint Health by ensuring strategic alignment, portfolio health, and data literacy throughout the enterprise.
This is an individual contributor role with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
Analytics Portfolio Management and Resource Alignment
Leverages product and program management principles to drive the iterative creation of new data and analytical capabilities and assets for the system.
Create and maintain centralized portfolio analytics intake and scoping documentation to serve as the main reference point for analytics resourcing, status reporting, and roadmap development.
Maintain comprehensive awareness of existing analytics asset inventory to increase reusability in internal development and reduce redundancy.
Regularly monitor and report on the performance of analytics initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Provide end-user enablement and support, including high-touch customer service, communications, and the creation of reusable knowledge assets such as documentation and training content.
Monitor use of analytics deliverables and mitigate areas of underutilization.
Make strategic recommendations to enhance long term analytics value to organization in the areas of roadmap development, resource allocation, and enterprise data literacy.
Executive Interface and Cross Functional Collaboration
Develop trusting relationships with key stakeholders in supported portfolio domain to understand business objectives, challenges, and opportunities that can be addressed through analytics solutions.
Conduct preliminary research on currently available analytics products to support opportunities and solve challenges.
Facilitate an Analytics Collaboration Team, chaired by a business leader, to prioritize analytics solution needs based on business impact and strategic alignment within each portfolio.
Work closely with different functional areas to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and ensure that analytics solutions meet the needs of end-users.
Enable successful development of analytics insights and products by partnering with analytics development professionals.
Elevate organizational data literacy by providing expert level analytics interpretation and education to portfolio consumers.
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to executives in a clear and concise manner, demonstrating the value of analytics in driving business outcomes.
Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science or related field.
Equivalent experience of at least 10 years working in an analytics or healthcare operations setting that includes demonstrated results driving improvements using data and analytics methodologies and techniques.
Master's of degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science or other related field.
Experience:
7 years experience working in an analytics or healthcare operations setting that includes demonstrated results driving improvements using data and analytics methodologies and techniques.
Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare business operations and reporting.
Broad understanding of analytical methods, tools, statistics, and data management.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical use of health information standards.
Prior experience interfacing with an executive audience is required.
Proven experience in analytics, data management, or related fields, with a focus on strategic planning and portfolio management.
Must demonstrate experience as an excellent oral and written communicator and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at the executive level.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage large, complex projects and be able to negotiate and build consensus among groups or individuals with diverse interests and function effectively as a team leader in a team environment.
Preference given to applicants with more experience.
Prior experience directly involved in each stage of the analytics lifecycle.
Demonstrated knowledge of clinical, business, or healthcare financial processes.
Prior experience in customer service, sales
