The facility is also an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Responsibilities:

The Ultrasonographer/Echocardiographer performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing echocardiography procedures and general ultrasound procedures with basic departmental functions and goals. Identifies cultural differences and incorporates into care. Utilizes translation services when indicated. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission statement. Cares for Neonate/Infant (0-12 months) Pediatrics (1 17 years) Adults (18 79 years) Elderly (80 years).

Job tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Performs ultrasound and echocardiography studies on patients applying prescribed methods of ultrasound technique.

  • Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to body area to be examined, depth of field and other specifications of the test.

  • Determines and documents the presence, location and severity or absence of cardiac disease.

  • Provides a quantitative comparison for evaluation of the stability, improvement, and deterioration of cardiac disease.

  • Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

  • Explains procedures to patients and addresses any concerns or questions.

  • Assists physician with ultrasound guided biopsies and/or invasive procedures.

  • Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.

  • Orients and mentors new staff members.

  • Assists with transporting patients.

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

  • Provides a safe environment for patient, visitor and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safety hazards.

  • ARDMS registered or registry eligible.

  • A single two-year allied health education program this is patient-care centered or equivalent.

  • Minimum of one year's experience performing general ultrasound and echocardiography procedures preferred.

  • New employees have up to 90 days from date of hire to obtain the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare provider.

  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.

  • Basic computer skills

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 211 bed hospital located in Bowling Green Kentucky. TriStar Greenview offers services like an expanded Emergency Department, Cardiac Cath Lab, accredited Chest Pain Center, Advance Primary Stroke Center, and and Orthopedics program featuring Blue Distinction designation for hip and knee replacement. The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for all stocking, filling/refilling, computer input of charges. The Certified Pharmacy Technician is also responsible for pre-packing and storage of non-IV medication and filling unit dose carts. The Pharmacy Tech delivers medications, including controlled substances and emergency drug supplies, to nursing units, dispensing machines, and emergency carts. Responsibilities: * Counts, packages, and labels unit does for inspection by pharmacist. * Assists pharmacists as directed, including filling orders and preparing labels. * Prepares I.V. mixtures and operates automated systems. * Maintains pharmacy inventory and performs clerical duties. * Maintains strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and performs dispensing duties accordingly. * Assists with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals. * Orients and mentors staff. * Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. * Completes unit/floor inspections as assigned. * Participates in maintaining department inventory levels * Orders medication based on PAR levels * Orders medication based on clinical needs in conjunction with formulary initiatives * Works with DOP or designee as needed in inventory management initiatives * Participates in maintaining department formulary initiatives * Provides a safe environment for patient, visitor and employees through identifying, correcting, and reporting health and safety hazards. * National certification as a Pharmacy Tech (CPhT). Certification may be obtained through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Career Association. * Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days from hire. * Previous pharmacy tech experience in a hospital setting preferred. * Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. * Basic computer skills. * Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
