Role Summary:

The Ultrasound Training Leader is responsible for establishing the Ultrasound product training content and programs for field employees and leadership teams internally. They will understand business needs and new product developments to adapt the training needs. Develops training programs and presentations aimed to improve Product, application and presentation skills of Sales Teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and periodically update all current product training content and course offerings and explore opportunities for development of new courses.

  • Develop training materials in support of current training courses and make available to all University participants.

  • Work closely with USCAN Product Training Director to develop curriculum consistent with USCAN University model (Bachelor, Master, PhD) and pull through Commercial Skills in product training.

  • Assist with development of remote training resources including electronic access to training materials.

  • Development and co-ordination of training programs, including planning and delivery of live instructor-led and virtual-based training courses.

  • Work with the Sales Manager and HR to participate in USCAN U orientation program for new hire sales professionals

  • Develop and deliver Ultrasound product training aligned within the USCAN U commercial and product training model.

  • Continuously learn and modernize training, including using new remote training platforms like Adobe Connect and Articulate Rise.


  • Bachelor's Degree OR 5+ years of experience in training leader role within the Healthcare industry

  • 3+ years of experience in a clinical discipline within Ultrasound with commercial experience

  • 10+ years' experience as training specialist, training manager, or learning and development leadership roles

  • Experienced Trainer and/or Coach license within their field of expertise

  • 5+ years leadership experience OR influencing teams

  • Understanding of sales process

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • High level of organization and time management skills

  • Ability to create and effectively deliver content

  • Proactive and self-motivated; ability to work independently to drive results

  • Proven success in a highly collaborative environment

  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders

  • Strong proficiency in planning, delegating, coaching and evaluating

  • Strong computer proficiency Microsoft Office

Desired Characteristics:

  • Ultrasound selling or related sales experience

  • Customer training experience

  • Proficiency in e-learning course development

  • Experience in instructional design
