Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Ultrasound Supervisor, the Administrative Director, and the Department Chairman, the ultrasound technologist employs professional imaging skills to assure quality management of all patients (neonate through geriatric). The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, quality control, ultrasound safety and the adherence to all American College of Radiology guidelines. The position requires excellent positioning, communication, organizational, problem solving and leadership skills.

Qualifications

Education

  • Must be a graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program that has been American Medical Association approved.

  • ARDMS registered

  • Will need to become registered in Breast and Vascular

Experience/Knowledge/Skills-

  • Previous experience in the ultrasound field required

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, sound decision making and problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent interactive communication skills

  • Flexibility in assignment to other duties/areas as required

  • Accountability

  • Stress management skills

  • Excellent leadership skills

Work at both PHX and Limerick locations

On call requirement- Weekend rotation and holiday rotation

Hours will be PRN as needed- Day or Evening shifts

Responsibilities Under the direction of a qualified physician this position incorporates all the duties of a staff radiologic technologist. Also to include medical assistant duties such as patient intakes,vitals, surgical coordination, precertifications and appointment scheduling. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of formal Radiologic Technologist training at an AMA approved school. Experience: Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Licenses/Certificates: Must be ARRT Registered or Registry Eligible. Maintains appropriate CE credits as per the ARRT. Current CPR for HealthCare Provider required. Addendum: Radiology students may be hired as Assistant Radiologic Technologists if they are no more than 90 days from graduation from an accredited two year school of Radiology. They must also provide documentation that all competencies have been completed during their clinical training period. The student may not perform any procedures without direct supervision by an accredited radiologic technologist.
