We currently have an exciting opportunity available at Perinatal Centers of Florida, Hollywood. for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist. The positions will be on a Per Diem basis.

Our ultrasound technicians are expected to perform ultrasound exams for interpretation and to be responsible for patient care, appropriate documentation, quality control, quality improvement and maintaining a safe environment. Clinical ultrasound support consists of:

  • First trimester screening with nuchal translucency and nasal bone assessment

  • Comprehensive fetal anatomy assessments, including multiple gestation pregnancies

  • Serial growth evaluations

  • Middle cerebral and umbilical cord Doppler studies

  • Cervical length assessment

  • Provide ultrasound guidance during procedures (genetic amniocentesis, transvaginal and transcervical chorionic villus biopsy)

  • Other duties as required


The ideal candidate would have at least two (2) years of OB/GYN experience and preferably Maternal-Fetal Medicine experience, but more recent graduates who have a long-term interest in specializing in OB/GYN and MFM will be considered.

  • High school diploma or equivalent with formal training and graduation from an accredited school of medical ultrasound.

  • Two (2) years of OB/GYN experience; Maternal-Fetal Medicine experience preferred.

  • Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) for OB/GYN.

  • Nuchal Translucency and Nasal Bone Certification required. If not currently certified, must have submitted pictures for certification within the first 90 day of employment.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and positive guest relations; promote positive communications and relationships; maintain confidentiality; demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills; operate basic office equipment and software; bilingual skills a plus

Accurately accumulates and analyzes all hemodynamic data associated with CVIS procedures based upon the age of the patient assigned and correctly prepares and sets up all transducers prior to the procedure.Collects all chart data necessary to the procedure and enters it into the computer to produce a completereport. Correctly operates monitoring equipment, records all waveforms and informs physician of all abnormal readings. Thoroughly collects QI data on each patientReviews each report at the end of the case for accuracy before filing and transferring to workstation. 2. Scrubs on all procedures in the CVIS and prepares all sterile trays for the Cardiac and Vascular Interventional Suites procedures according to standards. 3. Provides direct patient care pre and post procedure under supervision of an RN such as placing patient onappropriate monitoring equipment (EKG, NBP and pulse oximeter), removing arterial and venous sheaths,maintaining proper hemostasis and documents vital signs, giving pre/post teaching instructions. 4. Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies, and lab area. Provides clerical support as necessary. 5. Assists in transporting patients.\n\nEducation: Graduate of a two year Cardiovascular Program or an equivalent.
