The Vascular Technologist assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information. This position reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness, and completes paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation. The Vascular Technologist efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room and demonstrates regard for patients# safety and comfort. # # Essential Job Functions Title and Description # # # U - Physician Order Assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information prior to the ultrasound procedure. # U - Reviews Exams Reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness. Completes proper paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation. # U - Tasks Efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room, including cleaning and stocking their room, cleaning the machine and filter, and deleting exams off the machine daily. # U - Patient Safety Demonstrates regard for patients# safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization and positioning of patient. # Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. # Safety # Compliance Demonstrates understanding and follows infection control policies and procedures according to standard operating procedure.
