Description:
Assists the technologist in the delivery or care to patients that are having an ultrasound procedure.
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, & Every Other Friday
Every Other Sat/Sun
Answers the telephone in a courteous and timely manner and relays messages as needed.
Assist technologist in delivery of care to patients that are having an ultrasound.
Demonstrates and maintains thorough knowledge of the Meditech system
Demonstrates and maintains thorough knowledge of PACS Systems.
Tracks all patient studies from "BEGIN" to "END EXAM" status in EPIC system immediately following study completion.
Ensures that all necessary forms are completed and signed prior to scanning paperwork into the "PACS system.
"Verify" patient studies in the PACS studies immediately following study completion.
Merges "Unspecified" studies in the PACS system.
Refers all non-clerical issues to appropriate technologist or radiologist.
Assists patient on and off the Ultrasound table, utilizing proper body mechanics.
Demonstrates and applies knowledge to assure safety of patients, colleagues and visitors.
Delivers patient's films to the Radiologist for interpretation in a timely manner.
Coordinate the transport of inpatients to and from the Ultrasound department.
Provides inpatient/escort services as needed
Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance quality of service and customer relations
Responsible for keeping preliminary report forms stocked in department.
Stocking rooms with supplies.
Removes filled linen bags and replaces new linen bag.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate/Equivalent Required
Technical School/1 Year College & 2-4 years experience preferred
