Shift: Days, PRN, hours vary, flexible scheduling hours

As an Ultrasound Technologist at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

• Current BLS from AHA or ARC

• Requires a 2-year Allied Health Degree, successful completion of an approved 1-year program in Ultrasound Technology.

• Requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

About the Job:

• Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs.

• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. . Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

• Position patients and operate equipment to produce the most reliable and informational data. Sets, adjusts and manipulates Ultrasound equipment to obtain highest quality Ultrasound study.

• Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from the medical record. Documents information related to patient care, procedure and final outcome.
