Nemours is seeking an Casual/Part time Ultrasound Technologist to perform general ultrasound exams in a pediatric setting. Individual must have the interpersonal skills to manage stressful situations with children and families.

ARDMS preferred, or must become registered with the ARDMS within 1 year of hire.

  • Perform a wide range of ultrasound exams on pediatric patients including general, MSK, and vascular.

  • Follow practices to acquire the highest quality images possible and present to the radiologist.

  • Once trained, must be able to work independently and prioritize patient work load throughout the hospital.

  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to utilize with fellow team members and our patients.

  • Demonstrated ability to be sensitive and courteous to the patient and family.

As a member of this team you will serve as a first point of contact for patients entering Nemours Healthcare System. Essential Functions: * Receive and respond to inbound calls * Obtain and enter accurate demographic and insurance information * Schedule appointments according to guidelines, * Collect patient financial responsibilities as needed * Process phone encounters * Document call details accurately * Collaborate with departments' clinical and administrative teams * Escalate urgent calls appropriately * Timely completion of electronic requests for appointments Requirements: * Excellent communication and problem solving skills * Delivery of quality customer service * Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple screens while talking * Consistently display a professional demeanor * Maintain or exceed minimum quantitative and qualitative performance metrics * Complete annual training Qualifications: * Education: High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred * Experience: Customer service, call center preferred * Healthcare front desk functions (registration, scheduling, and insurance verification) a plus Access Center Specialists ensures a positive patient and family experience while providing centric scheduling/registration approach for appointments provided throughout the Delaware Valley. One week will be Monday & Tuesday 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and the second week will be Monday 8 -2, Tuesday 11 – 2, and Wednesday 11 -2. Individual must be flexible, as hours/days are subject to change based on business needs.
