Butler Hospitality is looking for a UI/UX/Visual Designer to join our close-knit team. Youll be working directly with our executive team to design and build upon our digital platform + physical marketing materials, to be used by hotel guests and our hotel partners.

Who we are

Butler provides an innovative, tech-enabled way for hotels to provide premium room service to their guests. Hotel guests order food and amenities from Butler, which we deliver to their room in 30 minutes or less.

What youll do

As our first in-house designer, youll be designing the digital platform through which guests browse our menu, submit and manage their orders. You'll also be designing a mobile app through which our operations teams can manage the fulfillment of orders. You will assist our team and creative agency in creating menus and other collateral for our guests and hotel partners.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Create wireframes and pixel-perfect mockups with detailed specifications for developers and stakeholders
  • Help establish and build upon our digital style guide
  • Collaborate with development team throughout the design and development
  • Assist in QA process to ensure the finished product looks and functions as intended
  • Help in defining new products and features-- use cases, user stories
  • User research, interviews and testing
  • Act as point-person for design, internally and with outside organizations

Requirements

  • An up-to-date portfolio showcasing strong UI/UX design skills
  • Skilled with Sketch app
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to wear many hats
  • Able to commute to our office in Manhattan

Preferred but not required:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign
  • Graphic and/or print design experience
