UI/UX Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Support digital products becoming more intuitive, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing for the user. Apply strict attention to detail and expertise in creating human-centered solutions for complex problems. Work closely with other designers, developers, strategists, product owners, and users. Leverage communication expertise and present design decisions to your peers and clients. Balance the requirements and business goals of a product while remaining attentive to the needs of users. Apply strategic design principles and aim to create a cohesive user experience in everything designed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as a UI/UX specialist

  • Experience with performing user and competitive research or analysis

  • Experience with modern front-end development approaches, including HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Git

  • Experience with Lean and Agile methodologies, Adobe Creative Suite, and UX prototyping tools, including Axure, Sketch, and InVision

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD clients preferred

  • Ability to work with leadership, functional groups, and development teams

  • Ability to work independently under general direction

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation expertise and communicating and collaborating with teammates, leadership, and clients effectively

VIEW JOBS 7/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-15T00:00 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed in a satisfactory manner: * Maintain and develop positive working relationships with key personnel involved in or directly relevant to mobilization operations. * Responsible for periodic inspection, limited repairs and process service work orders with Public Works Business Center for facility maintenance in garrison as required. * Monitor all deficiencies and remain fully informed as to their cause and corrective actions. * Provide weekly reports to the Billeting Supervisor. * Ensure safety and security. * Responsible for tracking the work orders of facilities. * Evaluate and approve minor maintenance as deemed necessary. * Establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements identified below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily meet the expectations of this job: * Must be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work. * Must have a working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc). * Must have a working knowledge of mobilization/demobilization operations IAW FORSCOM Regulation 500-3-1 thru 500-3-5. * Must have the appropriate qualifications, certification, and/or license under the requirements for the task area being performed under this contract prior to commencement of work. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NAC). * Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. * Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. * Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. * Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. * The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. * The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. * The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events). EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: At a minimum, possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Knowledgeable of the operation of material handling equipment and comply with OSHA, EPA, fire regulations, established policies, and work rule. Must be safety conscience and willing to comply fully with established company policy and procedures. Must have a working knowledge of the Army rank structure and military unit relationships. Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NAC). An equivalent combination of education and experience as identified above. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to senior management, contracting officials, clients and other employees in the organization. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to organize work, define and solve problems, establish and manage priorities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions based on facts.
