Our client is looking for a UI/UX Developer with JavaScript development experience to help craft a UI/UX strategy on our current and next generation product offerings. We're looking for an individual who can shape our user experience through a combination of best practices, interviews with product stakeholders and firsthand knowledge gained through actual development.

  • Creating web-based user interfaces using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript

  • Applying best practices and current trends in modern responsive UI/UX design

  • Designing interfaces for different form factors and devices

  • Experience creating user interfaces using CSS and modern font libraries

  • Participation in Agile development teams

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple Agile development teams to provide UI/UX recommendations

  • Work with Business Analysts and internal stakeholders to prepare screen mock-ups which can be converted directly to code

  • Create web layouts using HTML, CSS, web fonts, and JavaScript

  • Help estimate level of effort to create user-friendly UIs via participating in Agile scrum ceremonies

  • Create proof-of-concepts for new products and features

  • Work with testing team to ensure UI is testable and functional

  • Ability to work with internal stakeholders to prepare engaging user interfaces

  • Aptitude to create web user interface code

  • Desire to learn new JavaScript libraries and frameworks

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • A passion to continue refining their understanding of JavaScript frameworks and UI/UX principles and share them with the development group

  • Ability to take the initiative and work without constant direction


  • 4+ years' experience creating UI/UX recommendations and strategy

  • 4+ years' experience with HTML, CSS and one or more of the following frameworks: jQuery, React, Vue, Aurelia, Angular or the equivalent

  • 2+ years' experience with Bootstrap

  • Experience with Kendo UI is highly desirable

  • Experience with Agile software development is preferred

  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)

  • Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer

As an UX Intern, you will join a dynamic user experience team dedicated to building a premier user interface for ANSYS Inc's products. This internship is a 40-hour per week paid position. RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist in preparing low and medium fidelity UI designs and/or prototypes using design documents, acceptance criteria, and other sources. * Assist with creation of high fidelity visual designs and/or visual assets (e.g. icons). * Assist with formulating, conducting, and analyzing results of usability studies. * Assist in the creation and validation of personas and user scenarios based on user research to communicate user needs and goals. * Understand user needs and business goals when generating new ideas and concepts. * Informally present design work to stakeholders, within and outside of UX team, as part of rapid iterative design process MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * University student pursuing a degree in UX, Industrial design, Human Factors engineering or any other design related fields with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. * Ability to support UX team efforts to communicate business requirements into relevant designs. * Basic understanding of the user centered design process along with experience with user research, UI design, interaction design, and usability testing. * A desire and background in understanding project needs and translating them into wireframes and/or prototypes to demonstrate concepts to stakeholders. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Prior experience or good working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator. * Experience conducting UI and Interaction Design for products/applications using AR and/or VR. * Experience creating prototypes (of any fidelity) exploring AR and VR.
