The User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Designer is primarily responsible for translating users' underlying emotional and functional needs into engaging, user-centric digital experiences. This person collaborates in an agile environment with UX researchers, developers, product managers, copywriters and other designers to define and design modern, intuitive, and functional experiences for web, apps and other digital platforms. This individual's direct efforts ensure that Atria builds brand affinity, increases engagement, and drives conversions through its website and other digital platforms.
Manage design libraries and design systems with adherence to brand standards.
Conduct user research, competitor analysis, interviews, and surveys
Design user experiences from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity pixel perfect mock-ups.
Determine information architecture and create sitemaps and screen flows.
Create user stories, personas, and storyboards.
Oversee the development and delivery of effective user interfaces.
Conduct usability studies and iterate to enhance the user experience.
Manage multiple mid- to large-scale projects at a time.
Find creative ways to solve UX problems.
Contribute vision and ownership in the quality of the final product.
Develop standard UI components and style guides for Company-wide use.
Communicate designs to developers and rationales to stakeholders.
Conduct industry research and stay up to date on best practices, competitor UI designs and emerging technologies.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Bachelor's degree in visual design, communications, computer science, or psychology.
Experience with Web and Mobile App Design.
Three (3) or more years of experience with UX/UI interface design.
Proven track record using design thinking and a human-centered design approach.
Strong portfolio of UI/UX design projects.
Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.
Understanding of conversion techniques.
Expertise in responsive design and grid principles.
Ability to innovate and develop unexpected solutions to complex user interaction problems.
Ability to perform in a fast paced, high stress design process under minimal supervision.
Wireframing software (Balsamiq, Lucid Charts)
HTML/CSS; Java script development
Knowledge of agile development processes a plus.
