Job Description:

As an experienced Infrastructure Development professional, your love of technology will have a direct impact on the future of the business. As a senior member of a high-performance team, you'll be immersed in all the elements of Software Development Lifecycles- design, development, integration, operation, support and testing of infrastructure services. You'll ensure team goals are met and best practices, architectural design standards, data, risk and security management policies are adhered to. You'll be instrumental in designing, developing and testing code, solving more difficult technical issues, developing integration elements, building data models, APIs, and open 3rd-party SDKs. You'll see your ideas come to life as part of a small, success-driven team. And as part of JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global technology community, you'll also have the ability to collaborate with peers around the world to tackle big challenges.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Significant experience in both Systems Engineering and Software development

  • Proficiency in at least one of these disciplines:

  • Internals of distributed Operating System (Unix/Linux, Windows, Z/OS)

  • Systems programming

  • Network programming

  • Experience using large scale software development in Core Java

  • Experience using system and software security and entitlements such as SSO, windows, Kerberos, LDAP, Windows AD

  • Experience with new and emerging technologies such as cloud and virtualization


  • The Core Foundation Services team (GTI CFS) is responsible for providing end to end support for critical technologies that are used across the company. This includes Configuration and Orchestration, Identity Management, Name Services, Enterprise Monitoring Solutions, and automation tools used to manage these technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Expert in Core Java and design technique as well as experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems/infrastructure for large-scale programs (e.g., Expert Engineers) starting to be firm-wide resources working on projects across JPMC

  • Working proficiency in software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software

  • Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, security

  • Is multi-skilled with expertise across software development lifecycle and toolset

  • May be recognized as a leader in Agile and cultivating teams working in Agile frameworks

  • Sought out as coach for at least one technical skill

  • Stays abreast of cutting edge technologies/trends and uses experience to influence application of those technologies/trends to support the business; may give speeches and outside the firm, writes articles

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a customer-focused attitude

The role requires excellent coding skills, strong command of big data platforms, an understanding of the overall direction that the industry is going, and the ability to break new ground within this environment. You must be able to translate customer business requirements into platform capabilities. Key responsibilities include: * Works as part of the core platform engineering team to develop and maintain the Digital Pulse portal front end. * Ensures high quality delivery. Interpret and improve results. * Analyze, define and document architecture and design that addresses requirements specified by the Product Manager. * Develop according to UX standards that are established by the BNY Mellon UX team. * Communicate outcomes in a timely and accurate manner to relevant parties. * Act as an advocate for change management; encourages innovation and creativity in technology solutions.
