KEY Skills:

  • Strong frontend engineer (JS/CSS/HTML etc.)

  • Strong experience with AngularJS 1.5 (this is the old angular version)- its a must.

  • Strong experience with server-side Node.js

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good hands-on experience with, and exemplary knowledge of, HTML/CSS.

Good hands-on experience with a robust CMS tool (WordPress, Concertful, Drupal etc.).

Experience developing and troubleshooting cross-browser and device solutions.

Experience with writing native JavaScript as well as libraries (jQuery)

Experience with React and/or Angular preferred

Familiarity with best in class web development practices

Knowledge of browsers, email clients and their behaviors, differences, and compatibility with experience how to code for them to create a seamless front end user experience

Ability to work and communicate effectively with minimal supervision in an atmosphere of multiple projects and shifting priorities

Ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms with cross-functional partners and successfully build strong partnerships with them

Strong attention to detail to keep sites error-free

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-06T00:00 Overview: The Large and Foreign Banking Organization (LFBO) Function within the Supervision Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York is responsible for monitoring and assessing the safety and soundness of Second District firms that are domestic or foreign-owned with U.S. operations over $100 billion in assets, excluding the Large Institution Supervision Coordinating Committee (LISCC) firms. This is accomplished through system horizontal reviews, target examinations, and continuous monitoring programs. The Governance and Controls (G&C) Associate is responsible for monitoring and assessing governance and controls practices across the firm's major businesses that can include corporate & investment banking, commercial banking, consumer banking, and wealth/asset management. Working collaboratively with supervisory team members and risk specialists, the G&C Associate will support business line and independent risk reviews in the areas of governance, strategy, risk management, and business line accountability. Responsibilities: * Monitoring and evaluating governance and controls practices across the firm's major business lines and independent risk functions, with a focus on: * Governance: Ensure senior management maintains an effective risk management and internal control framework, and enables and enforces prudent risk taking behaviors and business practices. * Strategy: Confirm business line activities are executed consistent with the firm's strategy and risk appetite. * Risk Management: Ensure that inherent risk is comprehensively identified and measured, and that this information is provided to senior management. * Business Line Accountability: Evaluate management's ability to ensure employees operate within established policies, act in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and supervisory expectations. * Remediation: Evaluate management's progress in remediating supervisory findings and enforcement actions. * Collaborating and contributing to G&C-related supervisory assessments and communications to the firm, including quarterly internal ratings assessments and Annual Roll-Up. * Meeting regularly with firm management across business lines, independent risk, and internal audit to develop comprehensive views of governance and controls practices, including data management and regulatory reporting. * Analyzing the firm's management reporting/MIS to identify potential changes in risk profile or strategy. * Building and maintaining communication channels with firm's business line and risk functions to facilitate timely flow of information. * Contributing to other team priorities and system-wide horizontal reviews (e.g., horizontal reviews of capital, liquidity, or cybersecurity). Preferred Qualifications: * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and ability to assimilate new information and develop sound analysis; * Effective communication skills (both written and verbal), with track record of producing quality work products within desired timeframes; * Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities; * Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to interact effectively with colleagues across the Bank and the Federal Reserve System; * Minimum 5 years of professional experience; * Commissioned examiner welcome; otherwise willing to undertake commissioning training; * Working knowledge of financial industry; for example, experience in commercial or consumer banking, capital markets, financial analysis, and/or risk management, or strong desire to develop knowledge in one or more of these areas; * Master's Degree in economics, finance, or public policy preferred; * Some domestic travel may be required for examinations, vettings, training, and meetings.
