UI API Automation Engineer (Loan Software)

Location- Plano, TX / Remote

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience.

• 8-10 years of development and/or test automation experience. Experience in network programming and/or developing/designing large software systems.

• Excellent programming skills in JAVA and OOPS concepts

• Experience in Selenium and REST Assured framework

• 3 years of experience with Loan IQ lending software

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Write UI and API automation scripts to debug and fix the scripts if there are any issues.

• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber, focusing on robustness and scalability

• Utilize Core Java programming skills to enhance test automation frameworks and tools

• Conduct API testing, particularly with Rest API, to ensure seamless integration and functionality

• Manage SQL databases to verify data integrity and the correct implementation of business logic

• Collaborate with development teams to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects

• Analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables, maintaining the highest standards of quality

• Stay abreast of the latest testing tools and methodologies to continuously improve the testing process

• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team

Must have Skills:

• Java and OOPS concepts.

• Selenium and REST Assured framework.

• Customization of automation frameworks using Keyword Driven, Hybrid.

• Writing SQL queries

• Loan IQ lending software experience

Desired Skills:

JUnit, TestNG and build tool like Maven

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
