If you are looking for a great opportunity to utilize your management experience with our Facilities Maintenance Division, PA Liquor Control Board is looking to fill a full-time UCC Building Inspector Supervisor.
This position is responsible for planning and directing the personnel, budgetary, and resource allocation for the maintenance, store refurbishment (branding roll-out), and custom carpentry shop for all 600+ retail and operational facilities organized in 3 separate regions across the commonwealth. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and reviewing all activities of over 70 staffers related to general facilities maintenance, store moves and set-ups, custom cabinetry needs, ad-hoc responses to situational facility needs, as well as coordinating and directing all tactical emergency response efforts for the agency.
If you are a highly motivated, experienced individual that values integrity, teamwork, and trust, we would love to talk to you.You will manage and oversee the ordering of supplies to ensure that the correct materials are stocked at appropriate levels, and ensure that non-stocked items are ordered in a timely fashion so as to arrive at the appropriate juncture of a project's construction. You will also direct and oversee the deployment of personnel across the Commonwealth to ensure that the appropriate amount of staff with the corresponding skills, tools, and equipment are applied in a manner that is both strategically and tactically sound.
You will coordinate all efforts with procurement to anticipate Requests For Proposals (RFPs) from third party contractors and suppliers as it relates to the maintenance department. You will also direct and oversee the maintenance scheduling on a fleet of 50 vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are maintained to manufacturers' specifications.
You will direct the bureau's efforts regarding all forward looking budgetary needs as they relate to projects, staff, materials, or other resources. In addition, you will coordinate and anticipate maximum output capacity for all projects in conjunction with other on-going needs, and adapt plans and projections accordingly.
Work hours and additional information:
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Necessary Special Requirement: Valid certification issued by the Department of Labor and Industry, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as an Accessibility Inspector/Plan Examiner, Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, and Energy Inspector.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: This position requires possession of a valid PA non commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
POST EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT: Employees must obtain a valid certification issued by the Department of Labor and Industry, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as a Building Code Official in the probationary period.
