A UAT Engineer is needed for an interesting contract position in West Chester, PA!
Our client company is a leader in television retail. The offer a myriad of diverse products from jewelry to furniture and everything in between!

The UAT Engineer is responsible for representing business stakeholders, having great experience with Quality Assurance, and performing on the Interactive Product Management team. Our client company wants the UAT to think like a customer, so the ideal candidate is both experienced and creative, being able to provide fresh perspectives and ideas!
The position is likely to go 3 to 6 months but could possibly go longer and offers $45 to $55 an hour!
Responsibilities of the UAT Engineer include:
Collaborating with Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and business SMEs to review and validate requirements.
Scheduling and executing UAT by partnering with IT, Front-End development, and Quality Services organizations.
Using JIRA to review stories, report issues and track progress, delivering regular updates to the Product team and management team.
Developing, improving, and supporting a UAT methodology on behalf of the Interactive business unit for technical projects and enhancements delivered by Information technology (IT), Front End developers, and third-party vendors.
Assuming ownership of UAT process development to maintain a level of excellence.
Working with department leadership to implement UAT process adjustments.
Reviewing and tracking priority production issues reported by internal/external customers.
Serving as a central point of contact for escalation and resolution of issues.
Partner with IT development and Quality Services departments to guide business expectations with timely and accurate reporting and status updates.

Minimum of 3 years of Quality Assurance experience
A firm understanding of UAT
A complete knowledge of SDLC
Business Analysis exposure
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Minimum of one year of JIRA experience a plus
Minimum of one year of Agile experience a plus
Minimum of one year of ALM11/HP Quality Center a plus
3 years of Project delivery involvement experience preferred
3 years of Web usability experience preferred
Web development exposure a plus
eCommerce experience a plus
Mobile Apps testing experience preferred

Conducts analysis to determine integration needs. * Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development, and customizes current applications. Develops software update process for existing applications. Assists in the roll-out of software releases. * Trains junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applications. * Oversees the researching, writing, and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports. * Keeps current with technological developments within the industry. Presents and defends architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences. * Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. * Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
