UACE Yuma County Marketing Leader

As a key part of our community outreach, our AmeriCorps member will highlight the programs and services that are administered through the Yuma County Cooperative Extension. Members will organize and conduct outreach and promotional activities such as taking pictures, conducting interviews, and posting on social media sites to give the public an understanding of Cooperative Extension programs.

Member will participate and support community events and educational trainings. This may include presenting and researching best practices and educational support materials to go along with the various programs. The member in this position will get the opportunity to learn about Cooperative Extension and the programs that are provided to both adults and youth as they assist us in reaching new and underserved individuals in our community.

Cooperative Extension is one of the pillars of The University of Arizona's Division of Agriculture, Life & Veterinary Sciences & Cooperative Extension. We are about "Improving Lives, Communities and the Economy" by serving as a statewide network of knowledgeable faculty and staff that provides lifelong educational programs for all Arizonans. We are part of a nationwide educational network of scientists and educators who help people solve problems and put knowledge to use.

Member Duties : *Create, post, and monitor social media content for UA Yuma County Cooperative Extension;

*Take pictures and conduct interviews of the various programs;

*Assist with virtual events and possibly in-person events if appropriate; and *Preparations and planning for programs and events. Work within a team and independently.
