UAB Sustainability Renewable Energy Specialist VISTA

UAB Sustainability is a department under the Facilities Division of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. We partner across our institution to implement the triple bottom line theory of sustainability and ensure that the decisions we make now will improve the quality of life for future generations. Member Duties : The VISTA will 1. Work with solar installers to troubleshoot issues with our solar production and storage 2.

Guide student interns in maintaining and operating the microgrid 3. Support the project's expansion and make suggestions for added renewable production 4. Create reference documents to guide future VISTA members. 5.

Lead tours for individuals and professional groups with an interest in renewable energy 6. Work with other VISTA members to create a renewable energy curriculum with variations for different age groups We will be onboarding members on August 1st and 15th.
