WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

A Recruiter Manager to lead the BASIS Ed Texas team in talent strategy, track recruiting metrics toward recruitment goals, oversee the hiring process, implement recruiting procedures, supervise a growing recruitment team, attract, and hire qualified candidates that matches the current and future BASIS Ed Texas needs. The role is crucial in effectively managing the recruitment process and ensuring the right talent is hired. As a Recruitment Manager, you will also be responsible for launching two new campuses in the Dallas Metro Area, implement new sourcing methods, review recruitment software, and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques. Additionally, you will conduct phone screens, host internal hiring events, participate in job fairs, and build professional networks to attract potential candidates. To be successful in this role, recruitment managers should have an academic background and experience screening and evaluating candidates. This is imperative to ensure we are continuing to make a difference in the quality of teaching and culture of our schools as well as making a difference in the lives of our students!

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Eligible to work in Texas Public Schools

  • Bachelors degree

  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases

  • 4-5 years of experience in high volume recruitment

  • 2 years of talent acquisition team supervisory/management experience

  • Experience in developing recruitment & hiring metrics

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • K-12 and/or teaching experience preferred

  • Understanding of Recruitment Marketing software

  • Public speaking or marketing skills

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • MUST reside within 30 miles of one of our three BASIS Ed Texas markets in San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth - Benbrook, or Austin. Must be willing to travel to our central office or on-site campus location a minimum of two times a week.

  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time for team meetings, networking/sourcing opportunities, and provide campus support. Over-night travel is required.

  • Build an annual recruitment plan that aligns with the BASIS Ed Texas hiring needs and network goals

  • Ability to coach and manage the recruitment team and report on its performance

  • Train and supervise team members on using recruiting techniques and tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and various applicant tracking systems.

  • Keep track of recruitment metrics (Time-to-hire/%hired, etc.)

  • Analyze hiring and retention trend data to identify future hiring needs in order to create a recruitment strategy focused on acquiring top talent and a diverse teacher/staff workforce

  • Use applicant tracking systems to automate and streamline hiring processes

  • Identify top performing teachers and staff in current and newly opening operating markets.

  • Develop, communicate and execute recruiting plans and sourcing strategies to proactively source candidates for immediate and upcoming positions

  • Apply a creative use of social, professional, and internet networking sites to identify and source candidates.

  • Research, identify, and recruit candidates through the use of innovative attraction and sourcing methods that include social media, Boolean searches, networking, and attending professional events to actively engage with both passive and active job seekers directly

  • Broaden the awareness of BASIS Ed managed schools and career opportunities among the targeted talent

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of BASIS Curriculum Schools business, positions and culture to effectively align talent to the business needs and BASIS Mission

  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews and evaluate candidate skill level and company fit

  • Manage external pipelines and partnerships

  • Support University Relations strategy and expansion

  • Build talent networks and pools by sourcing qualified passive candidates that can fill future talent needs

  • Ensure recruiting practices and activities support BASIS Curriculum School growth initiatives, global mobility strategies and fortifies and builds the culture

  • Host and participate in internal and external hiring events to include job fairs, conferences, and campus super interview days

  • Ability to work extended hours, including evening/weekend recruitment events, especially during the months of March-August due to the recruitment and hiring season.

  • Strong collaborator and problem-solver that thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Possess excellent leadership and organizational skills capable of overseeing team of recruiters, train new team members/campus leaders and prioritize numerous competing tasks

  • Decision-making skills: Effective data driven decision making skills; Ability to make short and long-term decisions about new hires and filling vacant roles to keep instruction and operations in schools running smoothly

  • Strong commitment to customer/candidate service (e.g., responsive to emails, phone calls, proactive in providing feedback and maintaining communications with candidates and managers).

  • Possess excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills across all levels of the network

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION:

Salary: The starting salary for this position is $75,000 dependent on education and experience.
