Tutors, Grades 5-8. Local School Support Program. 5-20 Hours/Week.

TPAPT, a national consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, is seeking several tutors to work with students in grades 5-8 in the Willow Grove community.

Candidates will be responsible for providing quality in-person tutoring to students studying Reading, ELA, and Math through Algebra I.

You will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and is committed to helping students succeed.

Location: Willow Grove, PA

Compensation: $30/hr-$40/hr

Classification: Part-time Employee

Tutoring Type: Private Learning Center, 60-90 minute lessons

The actual job...

• Provide in-person tutoring sessions to students in grades 5-8
• Review homework and create lesson plans for individual students.
• Assign question sets and review answers
• Collaborate with students' families to keep them apprised of student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of session details, scores, and student progress.

Schedule:

• Choose your own hours
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Access to a reliable car
• Established proficiency in subject matter.
• At least one year as an experienced teacher, teaching assistant, or provisionally certified substitute teacher
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 5-20 hours per week of availability
• Tutoring takes place after school, evenings, or weekends.
• Applicants must have all necessary clearances, dated within the past year.
