Tutors, Early Childhood Hourly Employee

Overview: Tutor
Provide individualized Assessment for Developmental and Kindergarten Screening;
Provide support to elementary school in fall and spring to complete kindergarten screening
Provide support to conduct developmental and kindergarten screening at CPPI partner programs
Score and maintain appropriate records;
Communicate with results to parent/guardian through the school
Assume the leadership role in the support and encouragement of teachers in managing the following areas: Work in close collaboration with Early Childhood Coordinator, school principals and community partner directors to conduct Developmental Screening assessments to inform referrals or school readiness outcomes.
Share results with classroom teachers / grade level team on a regular basis for joint curriculum planning and student assessment.
Administer DIAL Screening and when needed PALS. Monitor and report on progress of PALS.
Contribute to the decisions of the Early Childhood Team.
Maintains relevant student records. Works effectively with parents to explain the goals of purpose of kindergarten screening.
Work up to 15 hours per week on hourly basis as requested
Attend the district-wide professional development trainings related early childhood.
At all times the tutor will work under direct supervision of a certified teacher.

Qualification: A Commonwealth of Massachusetts license Inclusive licensure PreK-2, Early childhood Special Education.
A Bachelor's of higher Degree from an accredited college or university required.
A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience teaching preschool students 3-5 years old
Willing to be trained to administer the DIAL and PALS assessment, preferred
Ability to implement and support innovative strategies to enhance academic performance of Limited English Proficient students. Cultural sensitivity and interest in diverse student populations.
Able to communicate effectively in English with building administrators, support staff, students, and parents.
