Tutor

As a CHCCS Tutor, you will work part-time, in-person DURING THE SCHOOL DAY at Estes Hills Elementary School in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools.

To follow the high impact tutoring model, you will work at least 3 days a week, in-person with 10-20 students for 30-45 minutes at a time. This work will support students with meeting grade level standards. Reading tutors will focus on the five pillars of reading: phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.

You will become a part-time, temporary employee of CHCCS, and as such will be paid hourly.

• Strong tutoring and teaching skills
• Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
• Proficiency in learning technology and classroom management
• Background in early childhood education and special education
• Experience working with children and adults in educational settings
• Ability to create engaging learning environments for diverse learners Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $25-45 per hour depending on experience.
