To be considered for the tunnel engineer position, you will have achieved a master's degree in geotechnical/civil engineering.

We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:

  • Methodical approach to problem solving

  • 2+ years of engineering experience

  • Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.

  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing.

Job Description

As an tunnel engineer you'll join the Mott MacDonald team and gain exposure to many different elements of tunnel engineering. As you further develop, you will gain exposure to:

  • Working on projects of increasing difficulty, with work being reviewed periodically by supervisor.

  • Assisting in the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, studies, and designs for project.

  • Compiles and computes a variety of engineering data.

  • Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.

  • Extracts engineering data from various prescribed sources; processes the data following well-defined methods; and presents the data in prescribed form.

  • Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving relatively limited responsibility and general instructions as to methods and procedures to be followed.

  • Performs standard practices and techniques in specific situations.

  • Gathers and maintains specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.

  • Performs computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas, plots data and draws curves and graphs.

  • Attends meetings with Clients and Contractors.

  • Receives and reviews various Shop Drawings for projects.

  • Participate in onsite Site Investigations at various sites in the area

Candidates should have five years related experience and must be proficient with Excel and will be asked to successfully complete an Excel assessment. Starting salary range is $48,000-$60,000 depending on experience. POSITION SUMMARY Under limited supervision, this position assists by providing support and coordination of various marketing duties, events and campaigns. The incumbent performs support operations following detailed instructions and standardized procedures. Performs more complicated routine and non-routine duties of the job. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Budget - Prepares spreadsheets, processes invoices, performs budget reconciliations, updates and reports monthly budget expenses for the Department. Works with Accounting Department and Ad Agency to insure timely process of transactions related to incoming invoices. Monitors expenses versus budget and reports area of concern, 30% Campaigns/promotions (Ad, direct mail, etc.) – Researches merchandising premiums by identifying and evaluating suggestions received within Marketing and with outside departments. Requests bids for premiums and gift fulfillment. Works directly with vendors to negotiate pricing and present best options for quality and budget.. 20% Ad and direct marketing campaigns/promotions - prepares promotional items tracking monthly report. Orders and fulfills premiums, prepares invitations and flyers for various branch and community events. Processes results of direct mail campaigns and creates quarterly reports based on results provided. Tracks results and fulfills campaign offers including 1099 INT and 1099 MISC reporting 20% Branch Merchandising and signage – Manages printing and delivery of all Marketing and Compliance branch materials and holders i.e. posters, teller displays, take ones, flyers, brochures, brochure racks, sign displays and compliance signage. Updates inventory list of these items and supply reference guides for branches for intranet pages. Updates Marketing check list of current branch merchandise for Sales Coach branch visits. Coordinates projects for new and updating branch signage i.e. poster frames, exterior signage, branch hour changes. Serves as liaison between Facilities and Signage company to ensure on time delivery and efficiency of projects. 15% Serves as Marketing liaison for branch closing and relocation processes. Attends branch closing meetings held by project management. Makes sure all customer communications are approved by Compliance and Legal Departments and mailed to customers within regulatory time frame. Ensures the closing branch is supplied with approved branch closure notices.
