Tumor Registrar

Position Summary: Maintains and coordinates all functions of an active tumor registry that includes initial assessment, on-going assessment, data abstraction, data entry and follow-up of all patients admitted to the Medical Center with a diagnosis of cancer.

Performs duties in support of the Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. Education and Training: 2-4 years college education in Health Records or LPN/RN program preferred.. Experience: 3-5 years health care setting with previous technical experience preferred. 2 years previous tumor registry experience preferred. # Registration, Licensure and/or Certification: CTR preferred.# ART, RRA, LPN, RN required.

Skills:

Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Clinical Medicine.

Computer experience. Detail oriented. Mandated and Permissive Reporter Training required# #
