The TUHP Technical Training Deputy Program Manager specifically supports the Turkish Utility Helicopter Program, which delivers technical training to our Turkish customer, TAI.

This position coordinates processes, technical content and instructors for Technical Training as defined courses in our contract. This work will also be supported by internal groups in Sikorsky:

Engineering, Operations and Quality. There is overlap between this scope and other program areas - for example, Technical Data Package (TDP), Manufacturing Transitions, and Product Support.

Deputy PM will have significant responsibility for financial targets, customer satisfaction, scheduled delivery dates and interfacing with the external customer.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Developing integrated execution schedules and plans with detailed project schedules for Technical Training, including defined Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support courses. Examples of Engineering courses are Specialty, Flight & Ground Test, Transmission Test Stand, Whirl Stand.

Examples of ILS training are Helicopter Familiarization, ILS Author Modules 4-7, Airframe & Powerplant, Avionics & Electrical/AFCS. Courses range from 3 days to 2 months in duration, and can be taught in CT, FL or Turkey. The Deputy PM will often act as facilitator during course instruction and will need to travel to locations where the course is taught.

The Deputy will coordinate and plan additional courses or desired topics by the customer in support of Technical Assistance or other areas of the program. This will include phases from defining objectives, coordinating development of content with SMEs, and delivery of content to customer.

Manage contractual efforts using earned value processes to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget.

Develop working relationships with customer counterparts, internal Sikorsky Aircraft leadership team, and integrated program team members to ensure program success.

Serve as the secondary point of contact for TUHP technical training requirements, program organization and reporting structure, work statements, schedules and risk management, finance and planning and control functions.

Lead structured improvement activities using lean and Six Sigma tools and events to increase efficiency and reduce cost.

Track and manage to full compliance for all International Trade Compliance related activities..

Basic Qualifications

BA/BS degree w/4-6+ years experience

MA/MS degree w/3-5 years experience

Desired skills

Experience in international program or project management in a matrix environment. Aerospace background preferred.

Lean or Six Sigma experience. Excellent customer, organization, communication and presentation skills required. Experience with training implementations a plus.

Up to 30% Travel Required with this position within US, Poland and Turkey. Candidate must be able to work virtually across multiple time zones.

VIEW JOBS 9/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-12T00:00 Description: A high energy, proactive, independent and motivated candidate is needed to manage and coordinate the Global Operations for TUHP stand-up at TAI including Kitting and Manufacturing Transition effort enterprise-wide. The Deputy Operations Manager will report to the TUHP Operations Manager. The TUHP Deputy Operations Manager will represent both Operations and Programs interests, and be responsible for leading and coordinating successful delivery of production and completion kits to TAI through implementation and start-up of TAI production line for T-70 and S-70i. This will include interfacing with all Sikorsky Product Centers providing leadership as an Operations representative on the TUHP, working with Product Centers to implement kitting and work transition strategies, and work closely with Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Management. The individual will also be responsible as the Cost Accounting Manager (CAM) role for $775M of parts kit deliveries and the Operations Technical Assistance and Work Transition project activities. The Deputy Operations Manager will be responsible for adequately tracking progress and performance and providing status of the IMS project to senior level management across Sikorsky. Manage and coordinate the Operations Work Transition effort across Product Centers ensuring successful implementation. This position is based in CT with 10-20% International Travel. The Deputy Operations Manager will responsible for the following: 1.) Leading the planning of the sourcing effort to stand-up Turkish Industry as a source. 2.) Lead and manage a flexible in-country workforce of subject matter experts to provide technical assistance for successful on-time execution of the stand-up effort 3.) Be the face of Sikorsky Turkish Industry and the primary customer point-of-contact for TAI, for all business, schedule, and technical issues, throughout all levels of TAI's Program Team. 4.) Monitor and report schedule and cost status for the effort using earned value management system and Sikorsky's Contract Operating System (COS) to ensure milestones are completed on time and within planned budget. 5.) Ensure adherence to master plans, schedules and budgets by engaging Program Planning & Control, Financial Control, and Integrated Product Team leads to actively manage Earned Value performance. 6.) Develop and actively monitor cost, schedule, risks and opportunities to contract execution. 7.) Coordinate Program Reviews with Turkish Industry, TAI, and Sikorsky Aircraft 8.) Support negotiations 9.) Provide leadership and direction to the Program Management Team to ensure alignment with platform objectives and milestones. 10.) Report progress on a regular basis to the TUHP Operations Manager, Program Director, and TUHP Manufacturing Transitions Manager.
