BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: TUGmaintains transmission underground equipment and facilities on the ComEdsystem, normally energized at 69kV and greater, including manholeinspections, DGA sampling, pumping plant inspections, Low Pressure FluidFilled (LPFF) and High Pressure Fluid Filled (HPFF) repairs and alarmsrelated to oil pressures.

TUG may assist in 12kV and 34kV splicing forT&S and Distribution. Under semi-direct supervision, as a member of a field crew, toperform skilled work in connection with construction and maintenance on theunderground system and to perform related work as assigned. Employees in the TUG receive a 1.5% additiveof the maximum hourly pay rate of the employee's job classification for all compensablehours while in the TUG group including the applicable overtime rate whenovertime is worked. Alternates and temporarily assigned employees willreceive the additive for all compensable hours while in TUG

ELIGIBILITY: Initialstaffing for Crew Leaders, Splicers and alternates will be filled bysystem-wide seniority.

Crew Leadersmust pass the TUG qualification to be eligible for TUG. Due to the length of training for employees to achieveTUG qualifications, a 6 month transition period may apply during initialstaffing. The employee will receive the classification and pay of the newclassification and the TUG additive. If the outgoing employee has not beentransferred out of TUG after the six month transition period, the employeewill be eligible for reverse travel.

Dueto training, a 4 year term will be required within TUG. Promotions andlaterals outside TUG will be granted but held in abeyance until the employeecompletes the 4 year term.

The employee will receive the classification andpay of the new classification. However, the employee will continue to beassigned work, including overtime, in the previous TUG classification. If the employee has not been transferredout of TUG after 6 months past the 4 year term, the employee will be eligiblefor reverse travel. Refer. to the 2012 Underground Reorganization for furtherdetails.

PLEASENOTE: EMPLOYEES WHILE ON DISABILITY OR RESTRICTED DUTY, MUST PROVIDE AMEDICAL RELEASE, WITHIN THE POSTING PERIOD, STATING THEIR RETURN TO REGULARDUTY WITHIN TWO WEEKS (14 CALENDAR DAYS). IF THE EMPLOYEE FAILS TOPROVIDE THIS INFORMATION, OR FAILS TO RETURN TO REGULAR DUTY WITHIN THEPRESCRIBED TIME FRAME THEY SHALL BE INELIGIBLE FOR THE POSTING.
