POSITION TITLE: Assistant Facility Specialist

NE - ($14.45 - $23.13 Hourly) - FT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Facility Specialist

  • Housekeeping will assist in maintaining the overall appearance and integrity of the facility, grounds, and landscaping to provide a superior experience to the tenants and guests of Raymond James Stadium.

In addition, the Assistant Facility Specialist

  • Housekeeping shall follow the Authority operational policies and procedures designed to promote efficiency of operation, quality of service and a safe work environment.

POSITION REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Facility Manager

  • Housekeeping

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform detail and maintenance cleaning related to Suites, Clubs, Offices, Hallways, Elevators, Escalators, Lobbies, Concourses, Restrooms, Seating bowl, Plazas, Gates, and other miscellaneous areas throughout the facility.

  • Cleans, dusts, and polishes lighting fixture, metalwork, marble surfaces, wood surfaces and trim.

  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strip, wax, and vacuums floors.

  • Clean carpet and upholstered furniture.

  • Washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.

  • Empty, clean, and set trash containers in a sanitary manner.

  • Polices facilities and grounds, collects, loads, hauls trash and debris.

  • Replenishes and inventory cleaning supplies.

  • Pressure wash concrete surfaces and exterior fixtures.

  • Operate carpet extractors, vacuums, buffers, pressure washers, scrubbers, sweepers, blowers, trash compactor, cardboard baler and other cleaning equipment and tools as required.

  • Monitor and report necessary repairs and facility deficiencies.

  • Provide event and post clean support as directed.

  • Assists in directing and supervision of contracted staffing during assigned tasks.

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to review facility, grounds and equipment needs and shares findings and observations with departmental managers or coordinators to assist in maintaining a superior level of facility function, polish and efficiency, and review and recommend equipment needs, supplies and materials required to provide services to Authority and their clients.

  • Participate in meetings necessary for conducting internal and external business. Participate in employee committees and staff meetings emphasizing team management, high morale, and quality service to Authority customers.

  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings to share relevant information and gain feedback relating to methods to improve service to customers, both internal and external, and to insure efficient operations of the facilities and grounds for events. Attendance and/or travel may be required for maintenance held off site.

  • Assists in monitoring work with operational service contractors, to include, but not limited to, irrigation, turf, painting, HVAC, carpentry, environmental agencies, pest and weed control, equipment rental, construction services and other miscellaneous trades who frequently service the facility and events.

  • Keeps abreast of innovations, improvements in procedures, and developments within the operational aspects of our industry to seek better methods to improve efficiency, levels of service, personnel performance, and reducing operating costs.

  • Assists in providing a safe environment free of harassment for department employees and ensure compliance with all Authority policies, applicable OSHA standards and local, state, and federal laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

  • Uses computer terminal to enter and retrieve information and prepare reports as needed.

  • Perform other duties, functions, special projects, and responsibilities, as assigned.

  • The Assistant Facility Specialist
  • Housekeeping shall be knowledgeable in all operational rules, procedures, and programs of the Operations Department.
  • Position requires irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; the performance of work assignments may not be directly related to job specifications. Adjustments of shifts, overtime, breaks, etc. may be required upon short notice.

  • Position requires ability to interact with fellow employees, clients, the general public and outside vendors in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner.

  • Maintain a high public image, positive attitude and demeanor when performing a service for tenants and the general public in and around the facilities.

  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift over 50 lbs. and work in non-conditioned environment.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate mechanical and powered housekeeping equipment including forklifts, high-lifts, scissor-lifts, pressure washers, sweepers, scrubbers, and vehicles.

  • Knowledge of horticulture maintenance of grounds, irrigation maintenance, irrigation repairs, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticide application techniques including safety requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Minimum High School graduate or equivalent GED.

2.Two (2) years of previous experience in housekeeping / environmental services.

3.Ability to demonstrate general knowledge of cleaning chemicals, cleaning techniques / practices, equipment and services derived from large public venue.

  • Ability to operate commercial housekeeping equipment, preferred.
