Under direct supervision, performs a variety of Corporate Trust Operations assignments such as examining, processing, verifying, balancing, and reconciling bond holder transactions from system generated reports, invoices, and correspondence. Supports Bond Operations for public and private sector bond issues.

Detailed Description

Under general supervision, performs Corporate Trust Operations assignments which require adequate knowledge of Corporate Trust or traditional Trust department procedures.

Examines, processes, inputs, verifies, balances, and reconciles Bond payment transactions using Transtar bond system reports.

Maintains monthly outstanding bond Issue statistics report and lost holder report.

Responsible for monthly new issuances and verification for privately held bond issues.

Performs Maturity/Called redemption payments and bond holder address changes.

Handles the maintenance on new and existing Issuer or bond holder accounts.

Serves as a recognized contact for private bond holder relationships outside of the department and resolves escalated questions or issues.

Processes Unclaimed Property for escheatment and Check Inventory verifications.

Facilitates internal control testing documentation collection for our compliance group.

Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements for Bond Transfer agents. Performs bond balancing and annual bond destruction support for matured bond activity.

Keeps abreast of risk-related changes that may impact assigned work functions and processes.

This is a hybrid role. You must be near 5555 Cleveland Ave. Columbus, Ohio

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 3 or more years' work experience in the Financial Services Industry.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Corporate Trust Bond or Trust System experience

  • Professional attitude, work ethic, and high degree of accountability

  • Knowledge of SEC - Transfer Agent regulations

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to shift priorities of assigned tasks as needed

  • Good verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Excels in a team atmosphere that is rooted in cross training and support of each other's desks

  • Actively responsible to apply and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
