Trust Operations Officer
Salary Grade 15/16
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall coordination of daily trust operations.
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of operational controls for the trust department with a focus on transactional reviews, account and asset reconciliations, record keeping and tax and portfolio accounting functions.
Assist the Trust Manager with the coordination of matters involving internal and external auditors.
Assist the Trust Manager with the development of proficiency with the Trust accounting system.
Work closely with bank investment personnel to resolve trade related issues and to ensure proper settlement and documentation for trades.
Assist the Trust Manager and the Trust Administrative Assistant with the transfer of assets into and out of the trust department, which includes the reconcilement of incoming assets and cost basis reporting.
Assist the Trust Manager with efforts to comply with federal, state and local laws.
Assist the Trust Manager with the maintenance of all trust department policies, procedures, products and services.
Support the Trust Manager and the Trust Administrative Assistant with providing services to institutional clients.
Assist the Trust Administrative Assistant with the processing of ACH transactions and wire transfers.
Bachelors Degree required or a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
In depth knowledge of bank products, policies and procedures.
Excellent computer knowledge preferred, but not limited to use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Working knowledge of trust documentation and trust systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Requires a strong sense of ethics and reliability, and the ability to respect and maintain absolute confidentiality
