This position will play a vital role in supporting attorneys with trust and estate planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal assistant with a strong understanding of these practice areas to gain valuable experience at a prestigious firm.
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to a team of attorneys Draft and prepare legal documents Assist attorneys with trust and estate planning documents and transactions Conduct legal research Manage and maintain client files electronically and in hard copy, ensuring all documents are readily accessible and organized. Prepare and manage attorney timekeeping, billing, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm policies. Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals Perform other legal and administrative tasks as assigned.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed. Qualifications: 5 years of experience as a legal assistant in trust and estate planning Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with legal research databases a plus. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
