First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an experienced Trust Compliance Officer Regulatory Specialist to join our Trust Compliance Department team. In this role, you'll be responsible to assist the Compliance Officer In Charge of the Wealth Management Group ("WMG") Trust Division ("Trust Division") and the Chief Compliance Officer of Bishop Street Capital Management ("BSCM") in the overall implementation and monitoring of the Trust Division and BSCM compliance programs and its ongoing development based on the changing regulatory and operational environment of Trust Division, BSCM, and the Bishop Street Funds ("Funds"). Act as the Chief Compliance Officer of the FHB Municipal Advisor (MA) and responsible for creating, implementing, monitoring, and adjusting the compliance program of the MA based on the regulatory and operational environment of the MA.

    Provide legal counsel and support to business areas in the Trust Division, as needed, and acts as the primary liaison between the business areas and FHB Legal & Corporate Services. Work Hours: Monday

  • Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary) Compensation: The annual salary range for this role is: $120,000 - $145,000 per year; commensurate with experience.

    The ideal candidate will have: Juris Doctorate degree required. 5 years' experience in a compliance or legal role required. 5 years' experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry preferred.

    Previous Trust Compliance experience preferred.

    Practiced law in areas of trust and estates, ERISA/tax, and or securities preferred. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to exercise balanced judgment. Effective written/oral communication skills.

    Strong interpersonal and influencing skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and strong proficiency in Excel is a must and knowledge of Access, PowerPoint and Bloomberg is useful. Knowledge of fixed income securities, portfolio analytics, and basic statistics.
